Jacob had spent his whole life grasping — for birthright, for blessing, for advantage. At the ford of Jabbok, he finally met something he could not outmaneuver. He wrestled until dawn, and he would not let go. The wound and the blessing came together. That is often how transformation works: not around the struggle, but through it.
